According to the Urgent Care Association of America (UCAOA), 304 new urgent care centers opened from 2009-2010. According to a new article published in US News, after a review of 300,000 records of people over the age of 60, people who received the vaccine were 55% less likely to contract shingles. Additionally those who got vaccinated with the shingles vaccine were nearly two-thirds less likely to be hospitalized for a case of shingles than were their unvaccinated counterparts.
